How can I increase my faith?
Stay with me on this one. We're in for a ride. To answer that question, I'd have to say, "You can't". Now before you get discouraged, let me explain: Faith is a gift from God, it isn't something you earn or something you work to achieve. Let's see what the Bible has to say.
In Romans 12:3 we find: "For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith."
God has given you a measure of faith; to everyone He has granted this.
Ephesians 2:8 "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,"
Faith is a gift from God as is His grace and salvation.
So, what can you do to increase your faith? Well, my opinion on what the Bible says about it is this: Faith in someone is increased as we get to know them. How do we get to know the One that gives faith? We spend time with Him.
Romans 10:17 "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."
As we spend time in His Word, the Bible, our faith is increased. That's the bottom line.
